Burnt Out Isolator

About the customer & what they require:

This client contacted us because their solar system was not operating properly. The system had been installed by another company many years ago. The client knew we had expertise in solar inspections and repairs so asked us to do an inspection of the system and offer advice. We found the isolator was burnt out due to water ingression into the switch via the seals on the switch.

What we did:

• Removed the old switch
• Fitted a new water-tight isolation switch for the solar unit.

The results of the lighting installation:

• A functioning and efficient solar power unit.
